Meet some of the Wesleys' team
We're proud of our friendly team, which is made up of volunteers and a small number of paid staff.

Mary and Carol are our cooks and also supervise the 70+ volunteers without whom Wesleys Café could not operate.
Kate Bell is our part-time Community Liaison and Lettings Officer. Kate’s role is to help to develop activities at Wesleys Community Hub. Kate deals with enquiries from existing user-groups and organisations that are interested in meeting on our premises; she operates the room hire system; and helps newcomers to Wesleys to join in with activities that will suit them.
Terry Walter is our long-standing caretaker who keeps our premises clean and tidy, and secure.
Our staff are supported by voluntary Lay Pastors, Claire, Peter, and Mervyn, and an active Leadership Team.
In addition, Wesleys could not operate without a wider team of volunteers
As well as those who volunteer in the café, we have volunteers who:
- Act as welcomers and offer a listening ear
- Undertake maintenance and project-management work
- Look after our administration, wifi, and IT
- Lead regular group activities
- Serve on the several committees which oversee the work of Wesleys Community Hub
