Our building project

We'll try and keep you up to date here with our BIG project!

The BIG (Buildings Improvement for Growth) project is a 1.95m, three phase buildings transformation programme. You can read more about our overall plans here.

Work is progressing well with the first phase, which is replacing the single storey Marley Hut building with a two storey, low energy consumption building. The ground floor will be used by the Baildon Village Pre School and the top floor available to other community groups. This will allow Baildon Village Pre School to double the number of sessions offered. Below is a gallery of photographs of work so far.

The Year of Green Bricks

Buy a 'green brick' and help with the construction of our new building.

You can make a donation of £5 for each small brick or £100 for a big brick by clicking here.

The BIG project will result in the first community building on church premises in Britain constructed to standards similar to a Passivhaus: it will use virtually no energy and emit virtually no carbon dioxide. Be part of this exciting pioneering first for Baildon by buying a green brick!
